Rust-Oleum Anti-Skid Additive is an aluminum oxide–based, sand‑like texture additive designed to provide skid resistance when incorporated into epoxy, latex, or oil‑based paints or stains applied to concrete, wood, metal, or fiberglass surfaces. Formulated to maintain 100% solids and contain zero VOCs, this additive does not alter the performance, properties, or appearance of the coating when used at the recommended level, with one 3.4‑ounce package treating up to one gallon. The particles disperse easily when stirred slowly and thoroughly into one‑part or two‑part floor coatings, and the coating should be periodically remixed during application to keep the additive evenly incorporated.
